Biografia
Marina Mongiello was born in Cercola (NA) l’11/03/1970. Married with two children. After the primary and secondary studies, she received the high school diploma at "Liceo Scientifico Statale G.Galilei” in July 1988 (mark 60/60). She received the Italian Laurea degree (cum laude) in Computer Science at "Universita' degli studi di Bari" during the academic year 1991/92, by discussing the experimental thesis “Knowledge transplantation between neural
networks”, with the vote 110/110 cum laude.
She received the Master's Degree in Computer Science (DM 509) at the University of Udine in the 2006/07 academic year with the vote 110/110 cum laude.
Marina Mongiello received the PhD in Electronic Engineering and Automation on the 30-th of January 2001 at "Universita' degli Studi di Catania", by discussing the dissertation "Automatic verification of consistency in Web-based systems design".
She received the national professional qualication as Engineer in 2008.
Marina Mongiello received the National Scientific Qualification – year 2012; as associate professor in Information Processing Systems year 2012, 2013 and as associate professor in Computer Science year 2013.

Marina Mongiello is Associate Professor at Politecnico
di Bari since december 2018. Previoulsy she had been assistant professor at the same university since november 2002.
Marina Mongiello started her research activity in 1995 at Department of Electrical and Information Engineering at the Politecnico di Bari.
The activity has been conducted mainly in the context of coordinated projects in which Marina Mongiello actively participates.
Her research activity has a signicant impact in terms of citations (1610 according to google scholar and 925 according to Scopus) and h-index (21
according to google scholar and 18 according to Scopus).
Her recent research interests include: Software Engineering and Software Architecture, Formal methods and model checking,
Mobile and distributed reasoning and applications, Software Architecture for self-adaptive and context-aware software.
She is Chair of EnWoT (2018 2017), FAACS (2018 2017) workshops, SATTA track at ACM SAC 2018 conference.
She is guest editor of Elsevier Future Generation Computer Systems Special Issue on Smart Technologies and Architectures enabling the
Internet of Things and of the IET SOFTWARE special issue: Software Architectures for TheWeb of Things (SAWoT). She is associate
editor of the same journal. She has taken part in the organization and in the program committees of conferences and workshops (SAC
2017: SATTA track - Software Architecture: Theory, Technology, and Applications, SERENE (2016 2015), BIS 2013, AReS (2012, 2010,
2009, 2008, 2007)). Reviewer of several journals: IEEE SOFTWARE, IET Software Journal, Journal of Computer and System Sciences,
ACM TOIS, VLDB journal, etc..
She collaborates with research groups in Italy and abroad. Marina Mongiello participates or has participated, within the activities of
research of the group to which it belongs, to several funded projects. and has responsability of some of them.
